Our approach
A clear path. From question to space.
A new environment needs decisions. We connect them, from the first conversation to handover. So you understand what the next step needs.
Explore the six stages
From the first direction to delivery
Six stages. One connected process.
The stages provide guidance, rather than a fixed route for every project. Some activities run in parallel or revisit an earlier decision. The detail and our role depend on your needs and the agreed scope.
-
Direction
First, understand what you need.
We listen to your needs and consider your current space, work processes, culture and future plans. Together, we agree who contributes and who decides. These insights become starting points and a set of requirements.

- A shared starting point: your goals, needs and the roles in the process.
-
Possibilities
A clearer view makes choices possible.
What can your current premises offer? What would another location involve? We explore layout, functions and technical requirements. A TestFit can help compare possibilities. An initial cost estimate brings design and budget together.

- An overview of options and considerations to inform the next step.
-
Identity
Your story becomes an environment of its own.
We translate the starting points into a spatial concept. Layout, colour, material and light come together. Drawings, references and, where useful, visualisations help us discuss how the environment fits your organisation and people.
More about DesignWhat this stage can provide
- A design proposal that brings function and identity together.
-
Quality
Attention to the whole and the detail.
We develop the design and coordinate material choices, bespoke pieces and technical provisions. Use, acoustics and lighting each need attention. We review decisions against the agreed requirements and gather the information needed for delivery.
More about DesignWhat this stage can provide
- A developed design with clear specifications and coordination between the people involved.
-
Certainty
Understand what we agree.
Scope, programme, costs and responsibilities become concrete. We discuss dependencies, lead times and the consequences of changes. Agreements and decision points are recorded, so it is clear what needs to be ready before work starts.
More about ManageWhat this stage can provide
- Recorded starting points for delivery, with a view of decisions still needed.
-
Realisation
From a design to everyday use.
Fit-out, technical work, finishes and bespoke pieces come together on site. We coordinate work and partners within the agreed scope. At handover, we review the work, record outstanding items and discuss the transfer and follow-up.
More about BuildWhat this stage can provide
- A reviewed handover and agreed transfer, with a record of items that still need attention.
Your organisation keeps moving
Renovating while work continues.
An occupied building needs a plan that considers everyday work. We discuss work zones, access routes, noise, dust and interruptions to services. Where needed, we consider phasing or temporary workplaces.
We coordinate with your organisation and delivery partners so people receive information when they need it. Whether work can continue depends on the building and the construction involved. We explore this in advance and reflect it in the agreements.
More about preparation and Build
Before we start
What would you like to know?
Do we need a set of requirements already?
You do not have to. An initial question about your building or way of working is a starting point. We discuss what is already known and the information needed to agree the requirements together.
Start with your questionCan you join a project already in progress?
An existing design or earlier decision can be the starting point. We review the available information, agreements and responsibilities. Then we agree what support is still needed and where Arvon can join you.
More about BuildWhat happens if our plans change?
First, we clarify what the change means for design, programme, costs and delivery. The people involved discuss the consequences before a new decision is recorded. The way this is managed is agreed within your project.

Where does your next step begin?
You do not need to know what the whole process looks like yet. Tell us what is happening. Together, we explore where to start.
